Matthews Family Butchers, located on at 7 Stafford Road, Newport offers over 75 combined years of experience in the industry. A family business, now seeing the second generation working behind the counter. Having moved with the times, Amanda and Sean now offer not only fresh meats but also homemade pies and sausages and much much more.
With years of butchering experience amongst our award-winning staff we are happy to advise on cuts of meat, cooking methods and recipes – from traditional dishes to the exotic.

Lovely staff, good quality meat and absolutely delicious! I recommend the steak pies and the lamb kebabs, meat tastes divine and is really soft and tender. Chilli and garlic sausages are gorgeous too, especially if you like a little spice. Reasonably priced! Honestly can’t complain.

Lovely, friendly butchers. Great meat at great prices. Sausages, bacon, lamb burgers, beef burgers, lamb skewers are all delicious. The steak and stilton pies are just beautiful and we’re about to have some melt-in-the-mouth topside of beef from our latest visit. Highly recommended.
